My Story
I am Ramesh Purohit, a student of literature and life-oriented subjects. I have been reading English, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, and Sanskrit literature and poetry in particular. I share my joy of reading with readers. I write on Gujarati, Urdu, and English books with explanation and critical appreciation. I am Editor of the popular poetry magazine “Kavita” at present. “Kavita” has been published continuously for the last 60 years without any advertisement by the well-known Janmabhoomi Group of Newspapers.
I have worked in liaison and public relations fields for 25 years – 30 years in the public sector and 15 years with the leading corporate of India and editing Kavita magazine for 12 years. Thus, I have varied experience.
I know that literary words have the power to heal, inspire, and connect generations. Through my journey in literature, I have explored the depth of emotions, the beauty of appreciative poems, and the timeless essence of Ghazals, while appreciating the works of great poets like Zauq. Reading maestros of Urdu and Gujarati poetry, I have realized that poetry is not just an art; it is a reflection of the inner being, the soul.
My work is an invitation to pause, reflect, and embrace the magic hidden in words. Though I was professionally very much occupied, literature has been my constant companion, guiding me through the ever-changing landscape of life.
